Ragdoll Robot Boxing Controls & Combat Tips

Confirmed moves
The official game description lists these actions:
| Move | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Duck | Drop under a punch. |
| Weave | Slip a punch to the side. |
| Block | Absorb a punch you can’t read in time. |
| Hook | A punch around the guard. |
| Uppercut | An upward punch. |
| Special move | Unique to each robot; can knock opponents down. |
Only part of the key map is known
The developer has not published a key map. What has been seen so far: on PC you dodge and weave with the mouse (Rock Paper Shotgun’s hands-on notes), and the special-move panel shows a G key prompt (gameplay footage, see the HUD section below). We haven’t recorded the rest ourselves, so we don’t list keys or buttons we can’t back up. The in-game tutorial (Boot Camp) teaches the controls — do it first.
The fight HUD (seen in gameplay footage)
In Rokko’s Oct 30 gameplay video (as read by RRB Wiki), the fight screen shows:
| HUD element | What it appears to track |
|---|---|
| Head | Condition of your robot’s head. |
| Body | Condition of the body — a separate meter from the head. |
| Stamina | A separate meter from Head/Body; likely drained by actions. |
| Guard | Your block/guard meter. |
| Downs | A counter of knockdowns. |
| Special panel | Your special’s name, a G key prompt, and its state: READY, ACTIVE or a countdown. |
Observed in footage, not tested by us. A countdown shows time left, not the full cooldown. Watch which meter drops after an exchange to learn what each action costs.
PC, phone and controller
The official listing says the game works on PC, phone and controller. That confirms support, not identical feel — physics fights reward fast reactions, so the input you are quickest with matters.
- PC: mouse movement drives dodging and weaving (per Rock Paper Shotgun). Lower your mouse sensitivity if your dodges overshoot.
- Phone: play in landscape and close other apps — physics-heavy fights are harder on older phones.
- Controller: supported. Connect it before joining so Roblox detects it.
The device tips above are general Roblox advice, not game-specific facts.
Defense first
Editorial advice built on the confirmed moves and badges.
- Block when you can’t read the punch; duck or weave when you can. A dodge that works leaves your opponent open; a block is the safe default.
- Don’t repeat the same dodge. Real physics means punches don’t land the same way twice, so mix ducking and weaving.
- Win without going down. Flawless (win without being knocked down) has been awarded 119,485 times — it is very achievable with patient defense.
Hooks, uppercuts and specials
- Punish after a dodge. The moment after a successful duck or weave is your safest window to throw.
- Learn both punches on a bot. The game doesn’t say which does more damage. Try hooks and uppercuts against an Easy bot and watch where the dents appear.
- Save your special for a sure hit. Knocking someone down with it earns Special Delivery (52,179 awards). How specials charge or cool down is not published.
- Clean hits add up. The game counts punches landed (Heavy Hitter: 1,000) and total damage (Wrecking Crew: 100,000), so steady accuracy is rewarded.
Knockdowns and getting back up
A knockdown is not the end: Back From the Dead is awarded for getting back up from a knockdown and still winning (21,983 awards). After you get up, defend first rather than swinging immediately. Round length, scoring and how many knockdowns end a fight are not published.
Practice ladder: Easy to Champion bots
Bots come in four levels. Each has a badge; award counts as of Nov 1, 2026:
| Step | Bot | Badge | Awarded | Goal |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Easy | Rookie Trainer | 33,509 | Learn blocking and both punches. |
| 2 | Medium | Sparring Partner | 51,966 | Win without being knocked down. |
| 3 | Hard | Bot Breaker | 15,383 | Land your special on purpose. |
| 4 | Champion | Champion Slayer | 15,948 | Then move to real players. |
More players have beaten Medium than Easy, which most likely means many skip Easy — our reading, not a published fact. When you can beat Champion consistently, try real players for Real Opponent and win streaks (Hot Streak: 5 in a row, Unstoppable: 10). Want to box a friend? See playing with friends.
